Each Section may submit to the Council the name of one voting member of MLA, chosen in accordance with the Section's bylaws, as a potential candidate for membership on the MLA Nominating Committee. Section Council representatives vote for six candidates and the names of the six candidates receiving the highest number of votes are sent to the Chair of the MLA Nominating Committee, who places the names on the MLA ballot.

The deadline date for mailing completed forms is March 29, 2002.
