MLA Directory FormMLA headquarters annually contacts the current Section (Chapter) chair to update officer rosters for the annual membership Directory. Beginning in 1997, chairs will receive this request ONLY electronically. Below is a sample e-mail message requesting submission of directory information. SAMPLE
To: (Chapter/Section) Chairs It's Directory update time! In order to ensure accurate listings for your (chapter/section) officials in the 1997/98 Directory of the Medical Library Association, we need your help! I have listed below the "typical" officer and appointed official titles listed in previous directories. Please add the NAMES, term of office and ONE means of contact (e-mail is preferred) for each officer/official. You may also add titles of further standing committees/names of officials as appropriate. MLA headquarters will contact office holders directly to enure the accuaracy of their Directory information before publication. Please note that we can only include current members in the MLA Directory, so we will be following up with lapsed or non-members. I will let you know of any officers or appointed officials who are not currently members.
