Archiving and Backup
Section and SIG webmasters are responsible for backing up their websites, including WordPress blogs. It is recommended that webmasters edit files locally using a web editing program like Dreamweaver, but it is also necessary to create separate full backups of the web site.
As a Section or SIG webmaster, you should make a backup of the site on a regular basis, especially after you have changed files. On the main menu in cPanel, that’s under the Site Management section. Click on Backup, and then click on Download a home directory Backup. It will process the backup for you.
Full backups are only restorable by MLA HQ. WordPress users should always perform a partial backup prior to any upgrades.
