This is an example of a form that potential Nominating Committee candidates complete and mail to a designated Section Council representative prior to the MLA meeting. It both indicates a willingness to serve, if elected, and gives pertinent biographical information. Actual forms and instructions are sent to the Section Chair and immediate Past Chair in early spring each year.

I have not served on the Nominating Committee as a voting member during the past five years, as stipulated in the Bylaws, nor am I an elected or candidate for an elected office. (Medical Library Association Bylaws, Article V, Section 2.D.).
