It was very nice to speak with you on the phone. I am member of the Fundraising Committee for the Cancer Librarians Section of the Medical Library Association. We are a group of _____ librarians interested in oncology research and education. Our members include individuals from ______, ________, ________ and many academic research organizations.
The Cancer Librarians Section is looking for funding from sponsors to help pay for our business meeting at the 2009 Medical Library Association Annual Meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii May 15-May 22. We are hoping to have sponsors fund the full cost of the meeting which we anticipate to be $2000.
We were wondering if _________ would be willing to fund all or part of our meeting. You would be acknowledged in our pre-MLA and post-MLA newsletters and you may have an advertisement in both issues, you will be acknowledged at the Cancer Librarians Business Meeting and an advertisement may be passed out there (however you will not be able to make a presentation if you come), receive a letter from the Executive Director of the Medical Library Association thanking you for the funds, and letter from the Chair of the Cancer Librarians Section.
